Integral orifice meter run assembly

The integral orifice meter run assembly is a differential pressure flowmeter especially designed for smaller line sizes where the surface roughness, weld seams and other geometrical imperfections have a relatively big influence on the measurement uncertainty. The DP flowmeter therefore features a minimum length of upstream and downstream pipe, reducing additional uncertainties of the installation to a minimum. It is suitable for process and allocation measurement of gases and liquids including viscous fluids, fluids with suspended solids or fluids with gas entrainment. KROHNE offers the complete orifice assembly with orifice meter run, DP transmitter, valves, accessories, engineering, and documentation. The DP flowmeter comes pressure tested and ready for commissioning.

The meter run is available in various designs and compliant with the requirements of the ISO 5167 in terms of pressure tap orientation and dimensions. It is fully machined and straightened to meet the highest dimensional expectations. If required, an additional calibration can be carried out in line with the final operating conditions. KROHNE also supplies special constructions such as redundant taps, integrated flow conditioner, certain paint specifications or advanced NDTs from one source and in accordance with relevant standards (ISO 5167, etc.).

The sophisticated OPTIBAR DP 7060 and OPTIBAR DP 3050 DP transmitters are the perfect companion for this DP flowmeter solution. They are 3D linearised and ensure advanced performance even at high static pressures. The OPTIBAR DP series has an outstanding long-term stability and a low total cost of ownership with a reduced need for field calibrations.
