The BM26A-5000 is a bypass chamber for level transmitters. It is the ideal solution for level measurement in difficult process conditions, e.g. turbulence and foam. In this way, the bypass chamber ensures the best installation conditions for reliable and accurate readings of different types of level transmitters like guided radars, FMCW radars or displacers. These can just be mounted on top of the bypass chamber which is installed adjacent to an open or pressurized tank and connected to it by two pipes. Operating on the principle of communicating vessels, the bypass chamber reflects the same level as in the tank. KROHNE can also supply an all-in-one solution consisting of a bypass chamber with the OPTIFLEX 7200 TDR guided radar, the OPTIWAVE 7400 non-contact FMCW radar or the BW 25 displacer level transmitter.

The BM26A-8000 is a magnetic level indicator (MLI) for redundant level measurement in liquid applications. It comes in two versions: BM26A-8000-TWIN and BM26A-8000-BI. The BM26A-8000-TWIN consists of a double measuring chamber with one chamber featuring a flapper indication and the other one – equipped with a level transmitter (TDR guided radar, FMCW radar or displacer) – acting as a bypass chamber. The BM26A-8000-BI features a unique measuring chamber with two compartments, one for the OPTIFLEX 7200 transmitter probe and one for the float moving next to it.

By adding a reed-chain transmitter to the TWIN version, the operator can compare the measuring values of the assembled radar level transmitter to those of the reed chain transmitter directly in the control room. This allows for redundant measurement as both technologies operate independently and uninfluenced from each other, providing a high degree of process safety in critical applications. The BM26A-8000 can thus be the ideal choice for steam cycle applications in power plants, storage tanks with dangerous chemicals, separators in the oil and gas industry as well as a wide range of other level and interface applications. Depending on the selected configuration, the magnetic level indicator can also be used in safety-related applications up to SIL2/3.

The BM26A-7000 is a magnetic level indicator (MLI) for extreme operating conditions and liquid interface applications. The level gauge is particularly suitable for continuous level measurement of high-temperature or high-pressure liquids in chemical, petrochemical and refining processes or in boiler applications of various industries. It is equally suitable for interface measurement in oil/water separators or similar installations. For level monitoring of corrosive in pressurised tanks up to 40 barg / 580 psig, the PTFE-lined version of the MLI is the instrument of choice. The magnetic flaps of the BM26A-7000 are housed in an IP68 rated, hermetically sealed glass tube. The level indicator provides highly visible local level indication. There is absolutely no power supply needed. However, in applications with more advanced signal output requirements, the BM26A-7000 can be easily equipped with optional limit switches or a reed-chain level transmitter providing analogue or digital output signals.

Overview

The BM26A-7000 is a magnetic level indicator (MLI) for extreme operating conditions and liquid interface applications. The level gauge is particularly suitable for continuous level measurement of high-temperature or high-pressure liquids in chemical, petrochemical and refining processes or in boiler applications of various industries. It is equally suitable for interface measurement in oil/water separators or similar installations. For level monitoring of corrosive in pressurised tanks up to 40 barg / 580 psig, the PTFE-lined version of the MLI is the instrument of choice.
