Field of application
The steam calculator EngyCal RS33 is used to record steam mass and energy flow of saturated and superheated steam. The calculation is based on the measured process variables volume flow, temperature and/or pressure. The EngyCal RS33 uses the standard IAPWS IF97 to calculate the mass and energy flow of steam. The density and enthalpy of the steam are calculated from the input variables pressure and temperature.
Recording and billing energy quantities in steam applications (steam heat quantity, steam heat differential). Typical applications include:Food industryChemical industryPharmaceutical industryPower plantsBuilding systems and plant engineering
Benefits
Compensation of differential pressure flow measurementCalculation according to international water steam tablesElectronic matching of the temperature sensor (sensor-transmitter matching) with the arithmetic unit enables highly accurate temperature measurementDetailed data logging of current and counter values and of error messages, off-limit conditions and changes to operating parametersStandard models are suitable for connecting and supplying all common flow transmitters, temperature sensors and pressure sensorsRemote readout via Ethernet and fieldbusesDeficit counter for transparency in case of error or alarm

Field of application
Analog measured values are indicated, evaluated and calculated by the field indicator. With the integrated loop power supply two-wire sensors can be powered. The universal inputs enable the connection of current, voltage, RTDs and TCs. Limit values can be monitored and relays can be switched. Via analog outputs process signals can be forwarded. The integrated application package “differential pressure” allows the quick and easy commissioning for differential pressure applications.
The RIA46 field meter exhibits a display, analog inputs for process and status signals, analog and digital outputs, and an interface for configuration. Connected sensors can be powered by the integrated LPS. All measured and calculated values are available as a signal source for display, outputs, relays and the interface.
