Commissioning and operation of the flow computer is quick and easy thanks to its user-friendly operating philosophy. The full-screen, multi-colour touch screen offers extensive options for customising the display of process readings to suit any customer applications. Communication and measured data transmission via HART® protocol as well as the option for split-range operation allows very accurate differential pressure (DP) flow measurements especially at low working pressures. Its low remaining pressure loss and bi-directional flow capabilities make it the preferred instrument for water, sea water, condensate, cooling water, crude oil, saturated and superheated steam, nitrogen, combustion gases, ventilation air and many other liquids and gases. It can also be used for dust-laden gases at high-temperatures. The KROHNE averaging pitot tube flowmeter covers big diameters, round and rectangular pipes and ducts. It requires only short straight inlet/outlet pipe sections (7D/3D). Due to the low flow profile constriction it generates only a minimal residual pressure loss.

The integral orifice meter run assembly is a differential pressure flowmeter especially designed for smaller line sizes where the surface roughness, weld seams and other geometrical imperfections have a relatively big influence on the measurement uncertainty. The DP flowmeter therefore features a minimum length of upstream and downstream pipe, reducing additional uncertainties of the installation to a minimum. It is suitable for process and allocation measurement of gases and liquids including viscous fluids, fluids with suspended solids or fluids with gas entrainment. KROHNE offers the complete orifice assembly with orifice meter run, DP transmitter, valves, accessories, engineering, and documentation. The DP flowmeter comes pressure tested and ready for commissioning.

The meter run is available in various designs and compliant with the requirements of the ISO 5167 in terms of pressure tap orientation and dimensions.
