The TIDALFLUX 2300 is an electromagnetic flowmeter (EMF) with a patented, capacitive level measurement for use in partially filled pipes (up to DN1600 / 64”). The meter is the ideal solution for flow measurement of municipal or industrial wastewater in pressureless transport lines. However, the EMF is also suitable for measurement of effluent brine from dredging, mining or sea/well water injection applications. Unlike open channel systems (Venturi, V-notches etc.) the inline flowmeter is a closed measuring solution without obstructions and with a much better accuracy at lower total costs of ownership.
The measuring tube of the TIDALFLUX 2300 comes with a polyurethane (PUR) liner for abrasion and chemical resistance. Its smooth surface prevents build-up of fat and other deposits which minimises the need for regular cleaning. For direct burial installation or applications in areas that can be partially flooded, the meter can be ordered as IP68 /NEMA 6P rated version. Due to the presence of flammable hydrogen sulphide (H2S) in many wastewater applications, the EMF also has ATEX / IECEx zone 1 approval. The TIDALFLUX 2300 comes with extensive diagnostics. A full on-site verification of the flowmeter without process interruption can be carried out using the OPTICHECK service tool.

FOCUS-1 is the first smart meter valve specifically developed for the process industry 4.0. This multifunctional smart flow control instrument – developed by FOCUS-ON, a SAMSON and KROHNE company – combines sensors, actuator and control functionality in one device. By measuring flow, pressure and temperature simultaneously and regulating its valve function independently, all specified set points for control tasks such as pressure, flow or even external control variables can be accurately and reliably achieved. This makes FOCUS-1 the ideal smart control unit for processes that need to be controlled autonomously. It is equally suitable for greenfield projects as well as a drop-in replacement of conventional valves in existing brownfield applications.
FOCUS-1 provides extensive diagnostics. In addition to many device diagnostics, the module features “smart cavitation control” which enables it to identify, monitor and alarm different kinds of cavitation caused in a pipeline. This allows operators to carry out predictive maintenance measures, allowing them to avoid increased stress and wear of valve and piping ahead of time as well as to prevent unplanned downtime. Given its redundant flow measurement, FOCUS-1 can also detect possible wear of the valve seat and thus leaks.
Due to its advanced algorithms, the smart meter valve can also create a “digital twin”. This allows modelling the measured data in such a way that device function and operation can be maintained even in the event of a sensor failure. With the help of the digital twin, plant operators implement redundancy and thus permanently increase the reliability, safety and availability of their plant.
The combination of sensors, valve and controller with extensive diagnostic features translates into less engineering effort, reduced sourcing and installation costs, a more simple and compact measuring set-up as well as more efficient life cycle management and maintenance. This simplifies processes, reduces system complexity and sustainably reduces capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational expense (OPEX).

MICRO-SET MSD2
The MICRO-SET MSD2 prover sphere detector is a mechanically activated position sensor for signalling the passage of a meter prover sphere.
The MICRO-SET MSD2 prover sphere detector is a mechanically activated position sensor for signalling the passage of a meter prover sphere. The unit is bolted to the prover loop pipe by means of a mounting boss, this allows the MICRO-SET MSD2 plunger to protrude through the pipe wall and the prover sphere depresses the plunger as it passes. The plunger is fitted with magnets which actuate a fully encapsulated SPST reed assembly and accurately signals the sphere position within the prover.
The MICRO-SET MSD2 ball prover detector switch features a single mechanical moving part: a pressure balanced plunger/piston with no dynamic seals. The plunger is 100% bi-directional and fully nickel PTFE coated to prevent wear from abrasive particles and ensure optimum long life.
